Soul City Groove was honored to perform at the Town of Poughkeepsie Senior Center today. Thanks to Nate Smith, Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Director for having us and to Lorraine, Center Director, for making us so welcome. We had a wonderful time playing for you! I was so impressed with the sense of community and belonging that the center projects to all of its members. I could see that everyone truly enjoyed each other's company and camraderie that the center promotes. I want to expecially thank all of the members of the Line Dancing Class that filled the dance floor for the Electric Slide dance during the song “Electric Boogie”. I believe that was the best performance of that dance we've seen yet. Thanks also for the food and for all the people that asked us to come back. We look forward to seeing you all again!
